Long before Philip Sassano approached interiors as a design professional, he saw the world as an artist.

​

Trained in fine art, Philip brings more than 25 years of experience in design, construction, renovation,

collecting, and property stewardship to The Design Coach. His path into interiors expanded the canvas:

architecture, furniture, light, objects, and landscape became the materials of a living composition.

​

As founder and principal, Philip works as a creative coach, curator, and editor.

Through conversation and observation, he helps clients recognize the connections between their histories,

instincts, and surroundings. He introduces possibilities, challenges assumptions, and builds

the confidence to take thoughtful creative risks.

His process is both sculptural and collaborative.

Old and new, refinement and imperfection, restraint and surprise find balance through craftsmanship and context.

Travel, research, collecting, and relationships with makers keep the work evolving.

For Philip, a home gains depth as it gathers memories, discoveries, and meaningful objects.
